COURSE ESCRI!"IO#: Visual Arts 2 takes skills students learned in
Visual Arts 1 and asks students to use creativity and technical skill to create
pieces of art that show self-expression and creative problem solvin. !his
class has more freedom for students in how they choose to solve artistic
problems. !hey will further investiate techni"ues in drawin# paintin#
sculpture and desin. $ach unit of study will be based on a di%erent
movement in art history# and students will be immersed in art history to
ain a better understandin of the myriad of in&uences upon artists.
'tudents will also be exposed to contemporary art and how practicin
artists are solvin creative problems today.

As soon as class beins# you should be in your seat with materials
ready to work "uietly on the G1o 2ow#C which will be on the board.
G1o 2owC will last for about 1E minutes.

!akin ood care of art supplies is important. 'upplies are expensive
and limited# so please treat them with respect.
!he last 1E minutes of class time is reserved for cleanup. Clean up
includes cleanin tables# pickin up trash from the &oor# puttin desks
back in order# cleanin and storin supplies in the proper place# etc.
'tudents will not be dismissed until the room is in order.
Hou will be assined as the teacherIs helper several weeks this year.

Jsin the art supplies at our school provides is a privilee. ?f you
abuse this privilee# you will be asked to buy your own supplies.

up water bottles between classes and at lunch. Hou will only be
