variety of settings including speaking, reading, writing, and listening and will become more culturally

Interaction means coming prepared for class everyday and being actively engaged in class
discussions and activities. Spanish is the language of the classroom, therefore, your interaction grade
depends heavily on your honest attempt to speak Spanish. lass work can be graded on accuracy or
completion. !dditionally, students will perform a variety of tasks to develop e"planatory and other
necessary writing skills.

! variety of formal and informal assessments will be given throughout the year and may be
announced or unannounced, varying in both point value and format. ompositions and writing tasks will be
assigned both during and after class. #he midterm and fnal are comprehensive and worth $%& of the fnal

'omework is an essential key to practicing and learning material and therefore will be assigned
regularly. #o receive full credit for homework, the assignment must be turned in on the date it is due and

hours of the due date, unless graded in class.

You must provide an o,cial absence slip on the day you return from an absence. If you have a legal

Students should use the restroom during class changes. Students may only use the
restroom during class if it is an emergency. Students will not be permitted to use the restroom
