Diabetic is one of the most common disease over the world.

Type 2 diabetes
patients are potential to have microvascular complication such nephropaty
diabetic which proteinuria as the result. The progression of type 2 diabetes patient
with proteinuria may be caused of dyslipidemia. This research aims to see the risk
factor of dyslipidemia incidence of the type 2 diabetes patient with proteinuria.
These research using observational analytic method with case control study
design. Total 62 patients with type 2 diabetes which were hospitalized at the
internal department of Islamic Sultan Agung hospital for period January to
December 2013 are observed. They are decide into two groups where 31 patients
were diagnosed to dyslipidemia as a case group and 31 patients without
dyslipidemia as a control group. We observed at the chemical test of the patients
whos have proteinuria. Statistical test using chi square and odds ratio with risk
estimate were applied.
The result showed that from the control group, 18 (29,0%) patients are showing
proteinuria and 13 (21,0%) patients are not. Besides, from the case group, 22
(35,5%) patients are showing proteinuria and 9 (14,5%) patients are not. Chi
square analysis showed that there are a significant relationship between
dyslipidemia and proteinuria which p = 0,021 and OR = 3,385.
We are conclude that the risk incidence of dyslipidemia on type 2 diabetes with
proteinuria patient are 3,385 higher than type 2 diabetes without proteinuria.
