Internship with Human Rights Watch

Digital Team
Fall 2014 - NYC

The opportunities in being part of the HRW Digital team are multifold.
Interns will have the opportunity to learn HRWs overall communications
strategy, and work alongside some excellent human rights activists. HRW is
currently looking for ways to expand its digital storytelling abilities while
undergoing a website redesign. The team works closely with colleagues
with varying backgrounds from around the world. Interns can expect to
learn about digital strategy, how to work in HTML and with our website.

Qualifications:
Students should have a strong interest in foreign affairs or human
rights, combined with a liberal arts or journalism background or a
degree that indicates an ability to think critically, come up with
creative ideas, and engage with the world;
HTML is not a requirement, but it is helpful for the student to be
familiar and comfortable with the digital realm;
Interns legally need to be current students (graduate student or a
senior/junior-level undergraduate student).
