Bi ble Study Treasure Hunt

This activity can be used with all ages, if non-readers are paired with older
children, youth or adults. It might make a fun intergenerational event activity.
There are a variety of ways for experiencing a treasure hunt with the below
passages. Objects (or a photo) can be hidden around a room (or sanctuary) and the
list of Bible verses (with Bibles) can be distributed. Participants look up the verse,
hunt for the item, and note where it was found (altar, pulpit, 1
st
window sill, etc.).
Or create a simple matching game that can be distributed for individual at-your-
seat action. Be creative tweak to fit your audience and timeframe. The NRSV was
used; if using another bible translation, make sure the same words are used.
