1. The Judiciary Act of 1789 established a three branch judicial system. These branches of
court were, circuit, district, and supreme. Supreme Court had jurisdiction over all other
courts. Article III section II of the constitution basically states that all cases involving
federal agents/ofce holders (I.e judges or senators) are to be handled by the Supreme
Court, who will hold full jurisdiction. The term "other public ministers" is broad, and not
just limited to ambassadors.

2. The constitution says the Supreme Court should have jurisdiction over all cases
involving anyone who wholes ofce/is employed by the federal government, but the
Judiciary Act of 1789 divides up responsibility. Cases involving ambassadors ad a state
as a party give the Supreme Court full jurisdiction. Any other kind grants partial authority.

3. The power of judicial review was created. This meant that the Supreme Court could
shoot down a law it deemed unconstitutional.

4. He most likely would have been upset with the ruling due to the fact that many of the
new judges were of the opposite party. This would lead to political unbalance.
