I completed the teacher cadet program during my senior year of high school at Lower Richland under the supervision of Ms.
Linda Brewer. As a teacher cadet I was able to complete a pre internship in a district school, gain an early experience in the
classroom and interact with administrators, teachers and students.

While completing my undergraduate studies at Claflin University I completed my requirements of completing
teacher field experience. I completed my experience at Marshall Elementary and Whitaker Elementary school.
During this time, I observed the classroom setting, planned and taught lessons and assisted my supervising teacher
with any classroom activities.

During my time as a student teacher I grew as an educator and performed the tasks of a full
time educator. I worked under the supervision of teacher LaSonya Stewart. I performed student background reviews to
develop tailored lessons based on student needs, used variety of teaching techniques to encourage student critical thinking,
developed, administered and corrected tests and quizzes in a timely manner, designed lesson plans focused on age and levelappropriate material and gained a number of skills, under the leadership of superior teacher, that have prepared me for
having my own classroom.
