Lesson Plan Week 1 Overview

Lesson 1.1:

Lesson Aim: Today I will be teaching students about the Fertile Crescent
using Semantic Webs.
Student Learning Objective: The student will improve their skills in
historical research and geographical analysis by analyzing trends in human
migration and cultural interaction from prehistory to 1500 A.D. (C.E.)
The student will be able to complete the semantic web activity.

Lesson 1.2:

Lesson Aim: I will be teaching the students about Ancient Egypt using
Biopoems
Student Learning Objective: The student will use the reading and pictures
to analyze the physical and cultural landscapes of the world to interpret the
past to 1500 A.D. (C.E.)
The student will learn about Biopoems and how to use them
The student will compete a Biopoem about Ancient Egyptian Civilization

Lesson 1.3:

Lesson Aim: I will be teaching the students about Ancient Egypt and using a
formal assessment.
Student Learning Objective: Students will demonstrate their understanding
of the previous two days readings on a formal assessment.
Students will be required to answer 10 questions about the Fertile Crescent
and Ancient Egyptian civilizations.

Lesson 1.4:

Lesson Aim: I will be teaching the students about Ancient Israel and using
quick writing.
Student Learning Objective: The student will identify, analyze and
interpret primary and secondary sources to make generalizations about
events and life in world history to 1500 A.D. (C.E.)
The student will be able to complete the quick writing activity

Lesson 1.5:

Lesson Aim: I will be teaching the students about Ancient Greece and using
differentiated readings and RAFT.
Student Learning Objective: The student will identify, analyze and
interpret primary and secondary sources to make generalizations about
events and life in world history to 1500 A.D. (C.E.)
The student will learn about RAFT and how to use it.
