Holiday Lights at Entrance

If youve come into the
development after dark
this week, then youve
noticed our inaugural
Stonegate Crossing
neighborhood holiday
lights display. If not,
theyll be lit between now
and just after New Years,
so youll have plenty of
time to see them.
The HOA Board
contracted with Amp
Electric Co. Inc. to run
power from the main
source on the west side of
the entrance to the center
island and across to the
east side of the entrance.

The electrical work was

completed on November
25th and Land Designs Inc.,
our landscaping contractor,
installed the lights just a
few days later. HOA Board
members, accompanied by
a few homeowners who
dared to brave the cold
temps and north wind
officially flipped the switch
on November 30th.
Land Designs Inc.
developed the lighting
scheme, purchased and
installed the lights, and will
also remove and store
them for us. Were all

pretty happy with the

results and have received
good comments from
several homeowners.
That said, this is our first
effort and were already
discussing how to enhance
the display next year.
A big thank you goes to
Rod VanGundy, who
interviewed electricians
and coordinated the effort
between them and Land
Designs Inc., ensuring all
was done in time for us to
welcome in the holiday
season in style.

HOA Board/Architectural Committee Members

We now have all HOA board member positions filled. We received no
nominations for Secretary and Treasurer earlier this year, but IAW HOA rules Mary
Perkins and Kim Harris have agreed to serve another term as Secretary and Treasurer
respectively. Rod VanGundy is our new Vice President and Tim Reynolds is our
second Associate Board Member. We still need another Architectural Committee
member. If youd like to nominate a neighbor or volunteer yourself, please contact
any board member via our Facebook page or through our SGCHOA website.

CC&R and By Law Violations

Homeowners are asked to notify a SGCHOA Board Member of perceived CC&R
and/or By Law violations rather than try to handle it themselves. The Board will
investigate and notify the homeowner in writing if a complaint is valid.

Social Events Committee

Wed still like to form a Social Events Committee to
plan and organize events like our summer Block Party. If
youd like to help, please contact any Board Member or
volunteer via our Facebook page or website.

Neighborhood Directory
Were also still asking for volunteers to help form a
committee to compile a neighborhood directory. We
have one volunteer so far. If youd like to assist in this
effort, please contact any Board Member or volunteer

WANTED: Email Addresses

The cost of mailing documents to homeowners is
upwards of $50.00 per mailing. Since much of what we
mail could be sent electronically, allowing us to put those
resources to good use elsewhere, were asking you to let
us know if you have an email address and wouldnt mind
receiving some items electronically, You can pass it on to
any Board Member or contact us via our SGCHOA
website. Weve already gathered enough e-mail
addresses to save us the cost of one book of stamps and
20 envelopes per mailing.

via our Facebook page or website.

Stonegate Crossing Architectural Requests

The SGCHOA Board would like to ensure all homeowners are aware of the rules and procedures concerning
Stonegate Crossing Architectural Requests. These rules and procedures can be found in the By Laws for Stonegate
Crossing, as filed at the County of Oklahoma Clerk Office on 11/16/05.
ARTICLE X ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE, Page 28, para. 10.5 states that All requests for any review by the
Architectural Committee must be submitted in writing to the Association. A Request for Architectural Review form will
be available via the Associations website, if available, or may be provided by contacting a Board Member. The Request
for Architectural Review Form may be amended or changed, as necessary, by a majority vote of the Board of Directors
or a majority vote of the Membership.
A copy of the Request for Architectural Review can also be found on page 29 of the SGC By Laws. It will tell you
what information is needed and provide instructions on how to submit your request
The SGCHOA Board is allowed 30 days to review and approve or disapprove requests. However, we know
homeowners are usually under a tight time schedule when they submit requests and we make every attempt to review
and notify homeowners of the final decision as soon as possible. All responses will be in writing.
Homeowners in need of a copy of the SGC CC&Rs and/or By Laws can contact any Board Member directly. You may
also send your request by mail or via our Facebook page or SGCHOA website and one will be delivered to your home.
