what is hartal ?
Hartal is a term in many South Asian languages for
strike action, first used during the Indian
Independence Movement. It is mass protest often
involving a total shutdown of workplaces, offices,
shops, courts of law as a form of civil disobedience. In
addition to being a general strike, it involves the
voluntary closing of schools and places of business. It
is a mode of appealing to the sympathies of a
government to change an unpopular or unacceptable
decision.

thematic statement
Hartal is one of the the biggest
hurdle for country's development

supporting ideas
political inconstancy
Bangladesh is the only country in this world
with full of harthal for nothing, and the only
bloody politicians in the world who are
dedicated, they give hartal in every single
ocation. It makes people intense about the
situation

political inconstancy

chaos everywhere
peoples dont wanna go outside
office, education institute remains close
political situation gets worse

transport problem in hartal day

less transport can be found in the road

peoples cant travel easily
busy peoples, patients get in trouble

countrys finance goes backward

markets, commercials remain close

hawkers cant run business
company cant supply products to shop
goods vehicle can not reach one place to
another

conclusion
Hartal cannot be a tool of any protest and none could
achieve anything by calling hartal during the last two
decades. So, our political parties should decide not to
call any hartal in the future. Politician should think of
some alternative ways to get public support and
political benefit rather than calling hartal. So we think
hartal should be banned.
