teeth to go over to the carpet for story time.
When most of the children are finished &
heading to the carpet, sing the Story

(to the tune of Twinkle, Twinkle, Little
Star).

Hands go UP
& hands go DOWN
I can turn myself AROUND
I can stand
UPON one shoe!
I can LISTEN!
So can you!!!
I can SIT!
Ill show you how!
Story Time is starting NOW!
Then ask the children if they heard the song
& invite them to join you in the motions
while you sing the song a second time.

(mother/father duck is sad/lonely/worried
when ducks dont come back)

--How many ducks do you see?
--What color are they?
--Are they big ducks or little ducks?
--Are they grown-up ducks or babies?
--How does mama duck feel when shes
missing one of her babies/ducklings?
--How do you think she feels now that
all of her babies/ducklings are gone?
--How do you think she feels now that
her babies/ ducklings are all back?
