Context of the lesson
This lesson is the second lesson in ms excel. It is about how to add the data to the program, creating schedule
and edit it.
Teaching goal
The overall aim of the lesson is to teach students how to edit Excels schedules and adding the data.
Learning objectives
By the end of the lesson. Students will be able to:
Adding data.
Using some of the basic tools in the program.
Editing data and their worksheets.
Assumptions about prior learning
They studied the basic tools of the program and they will start to apply and use these tools.
Anticipated problems and possible solutions
Some students will find difficulties to edit their work so, I need to make sure that everyone is paying attention
when I am explaining the lesson.
Some students might finish quickly so, I have to prepare a challenging questions or an extra work for them.
For the time management I will use a timer.
Personal focus for this lesson
Changing my standing area by walking around the classroom while explaining to monitor students.
The second thing is preparing extra work for the students who finish their work early.
Prepare a hard copy of the explanation or (ppt) to use it if there is an ICT problems.

Tutor Comment

T will divide the learners into two groups and will explain the activity. In this
activity T will choose one students from each group and will ask them to wait
outside the class. While they are waiting outside, T will hide two envelops then T
will let the students to back to the class and start to search for envelop. The groups
job is to clap their hands faster when their member become near to envelop. In the
envelop there are a picture of the basic tools that they studied last class each group
have to come up with 5 tools and the group who will finish first have to clap their
hands to make us know that they finished.
For the rewards T will bring a small box that have papers with different type of gifts
such as chocolate, 3 dirhams or try again.
Background: explaining the lesson
Students will be focusing to
teachers explanation and
T will review with the whole class the last lesson. Then T will explain the new
participating with her.
lesson by asking one students to help the teacher applying the new lesson which is
adding some data to the excels worksheet and how to edit it.

M&Ms game
After explaining the lesson teacher will ask the students to gather in their groups
and will explain what they have to do. Each group will have M&Ms chocolate they
have to guess the numbers of each color of the chocolate. After guessing the
number they have to open the chocolate and counting how many red M&Ms and the
same with the rest colors.
Students have to write the numbers in their worksheets table.
Worksheet: applying
After extracting the numbers and fill in the table they have to back to their own
desks and start entering the data and follow the given instructions.
There is a challenging questions for the students who will finish quickly. The
challenging question related to their next lesson which is calculating the totals.
