THE DAILY TASKS OF AND HR

Collaborating with internal and external personnel
Administering a wide variety of personnel policies, processes and
employment agreements
Consulting and advising administrators on a wide variety of sensitive
personnel issues
Hiring and Firing people
Facilitating meetings
Maintaining manual and electronic documents, files and records
And these are just a few!

CHARACTERISTICS AND TRAITS OF A GOOD

HR MANAGEMENT AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
During my interview learned a lot about business and management as well as filing
records and how to stay focused and organized. Here are some trait I noticed it
takes to be a really good HR Director in any company:
Having excellent people skills (EX: talking and discussing problems)
Being able to create good plans of actions to handle problems
Having strong work values that keep you motivated
Being organized
Being able to stay focused on an issues until its solved
You must have at least a masters degree and past experience working in a
management capacity. And those are just a few of the traits it takes to be efficient!

MY JOB SHADOWING
EXPERIENCE
On my job shadowing experience went extremely well
and I even got ofered a summer job their filing away
their personnel records like I did at the end of the day
when I job shadowed.
Firstly, I was greeted by he staf at their HQ in
Chesapeake and then I was sat down and introduced to
the CEO of the company and given a desk to do my work
at in dads office.
Then, I was shown the daily agenda and conducted my
interview with my dad about his job .

THE END OF THE DAY

I learned quite a bit about my dads job and the huge
amount of work he had to do outside of his 8 hours a day.
Lastly, I was given a project to do with about 100
personnel records that were placed on my desk and
moved the records from the blue folder that they were in
into a red folder and then removed all the ID cards and
put them into the shredder.
At the end of the day I learned a lot about organization
and how important it is to be kind and caring to the
people.

JOB OUTLOOK (POS. & NEG.)BEING AN

According to the HR Director I shadowed (My dad) the most positive part
of his job is that he is lucky enough to help other people to get jobs and
further themselves while helping the wounded warriors find jobs and get
their lives back to normal/
The most negative part of his job is that sometimes when their contracts
expire or they loose the to another company they have to fire people but
its important to remember to be positive and give people the
recommendations they deserve and be kind to them.
What surprised me the most was the amount of coordinating and plan
making that my dad had to do at his job. They had meetings twice a day
just within their HQ and at least once a day with their co-workers from
other states.

SUMMARY
Overall I think I would be really well suited for this job
because of the fact that it helps people reach their goals.
Helping people has always been something Ive loved to
do and I really enjoy it. This job also requires a lot of
people skills and organizations which are both traits I
really want to work on!
