provides services for unwed pregnant women, 18 and older. They have a
house in Sterling Heights with room for six, and they also attempt to make
placements with individuals and couples in the community. Their email is

Casa Vida 248-559-5407). It is not for women with severe emotional
disorders, unable to function independently, or with a history of substance
abuse in the past year, or has other children who reside with her. A typical
placement would be someone who was forced to leave her family home, and
has been living from friend to friend. The women accepted in the program
must apply with DHS and cooperate with Work First. Services provided
include a home, meals, material assistance, childbirth and infant care
support and education, various educational and vocational assistance,

Created under the McKinney Act, The PATH Program provides support
service delivery to individuals with serious mental illnesses, as well as
individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders, who are homeless or
at risk of becoming homeless. In Macomb County, it is administered by

receive) a diagnosis of mental illness. PATH funds may assist clients in

A street outreach program for homeless youth aged 15-20 at 43556 North
Gratiot, Clemens, 48036. Operated by Family Youth Interventions, The
Refuge provides a safe and appropriate setting in which youth can
congregate and utilize a spectrum of services including hygiene items, food,
crisis help, life coaching, case management, and a hundred other helps.
The goal is to build relationships between street outreach staff and street
youth, providing support services to help youth move to alternative living
situations and become independent, self-sufficient, contributing members of
society. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-9.
Provides a variety of services to the homeless of northern Macomb County
at their Community Center at 55 Church Street at the corner of south bound
Gratiot, Mt. Clemens, 48043. Services include community meals (MonFriday at noon), a dayroom (cooling/warming center), showers, coffee,
snacks, & bread, bus tickets, clothing, job search computer lab, resumes,
and referrals
Provides a place to come in out of the cold Mondays, Wednesdays, and
Fridays from November to April at St. Margaret of Scotland Church, 21201
Thirteen Mile Road (E. of Little Mack), St. Clair Shores MI 48082. Free lunch,
showers, and clothing are available for the homeless and persons in need.
