EXT. BUSY ALLOTMENT IN TONBRIDGE, KENT - MORNING

A montage of newspaper articles fly towards the screen. The
first article titled "The Vegetable Man" and reads "Simon
Frost wins his fifth consecutive win at the latest National
Vegetable Society Competition." The second article swivels
on screen, and is titled "What is his Secret?". The Camera
zooms in to the photo in the article, as it begins to fade
to a scene showing a "Man- Missing" sign on a lamp post. The
camera switches the focus from this sign to the allotment in
the background.
A police man walks into shot. He looks at the sign, looks
around and then heads toward the small shack, that is at the
end of the allotment, as the same shot persists.
The camera then shows the front door, as the police man
knocks to see if anyone's in. A man, Simon Frost, suddenly
appears around the side of the shack with his wheelbarrow,
that has a bag in it, that has "Manure" written on it's
side.
SIMON FROST
Oh, Good morning Mr. Police-man!
How may I help you today?
POLICE MAN
For the past couple of weeks,
several people have gone missing.
Have you seen anything unusual?
SIMON FROST
Oh dear! Actually,I have seen
something rather strange. Please
come in and we'll talk about it
over a drop of tea.
POLICE MAN
Oh, thank you very much. You're
very kind.
SIMON FROST
It's my privilege.
Simon, leaves his wheelbarrow at the front of the shack. He
opens the front door, and lets the police man in. The scene
ends with the door closing on the camera.

EXT. EMPTY ALLOTMENT IN TONBRIDGE, KENT - AFTERNOON

The same shot of the lamp post appears on screen, but it no

longer has the "Man-Missing" sign on it, and the allotment
is empty and quiet.
A shot of the shack's front door appears, and the elderly
hand of Anna Stone comes onto screen as she knocks on the
door. Anna looks round and sees a wheelbarrow that has an
empty bag of manure in it.
The door opens.
SIMON FROST
Ah, Anna I've been expecting you,
please come in!
Anna seems confused, as she walks in and Simon hangs her hat
on a hanger.
ANNA STONE
I don't believe I was due to visit.
SIMON FROST
Oh, everyone loves to visit lil'
old me. Let me show you something.
As the pair walk away from the front door and towards the
table, Simon opens a small cabinet and pulls out a large,
red photo album. Meanwhile, Anna is admiring his Vegetable
growing trophy collection.
ANNA STONE
My, oh my. This is a marvellous
collection.
SIMON FROST
Oh, thank you! Here, take a seat.
Simon pulls the chair out from under the table and helps
Anna sit down.
SIMON FROST
Now! Whilst you admire my album,
would you like some tea?
ANNA STONE
Oh, yes. Thank you, Simon.
SIMON FROST
Please, it's my privilege.
Simon goes into the kitchen and starts to make the tea. The
camera focuses on Anna's face as she smiles whilst flicking
through the album's page. Her smile slowly drops and she

appears worried as we see her eyes flick from the left page
to the right.
The camera then shows the left page, which shows a newspaper
article that is titled ""The Vegetable Man". The camera
focuses on the photo in the article. The camera then pans
across to the right page and shows a strip of photos that
you get from a photo booth. The photos show Simon smiling
and laughing with an odd shaped Pumpkin.
Anna turns the page. The camera focuses on the left page
that has a newspaper article, titled "What is his secret?".
The camera then pans over to show a photo strip, that show
Simon smiling and laughing with a weirdly shaped radish. The
camera then shows Anna's frightened face. She looks around
the room, and sees several other photo strips on the wall.
She also sees a row of books, that are about vegetable
growing and blood and bone meal.
The camera then focuses through the Kitchen door, as we see
Simon looking over his shoulder as he puts something in
Anna's tea. She looks back at the photos. Simon then walks
in.
SIMON FROST
Here we go then. A nice cup of tea!
Oops, forgot the sugar.
As Simon heads back into the kitchen, the camera shows Anna
swiftly switching the cups round.
Simon walks back in, sits down, puts some sugar in his tea,
takes a sip and then smiles at Anna. She then worryingly
smiles back as she's about to take a small sip.
SCENE END
EXT. BUSY ALLOTMENT IN CANTERBURY, KENT - MID-DAY
The camera shows an establishing shot of a Vegetable growing
competition, as they are about to announce the winner of the
competition. The camera then focuses on the Presenter as he
is about to read the result.
THE PRESENTER
I know I say this every year, but
this year has probably been the
best yet. Remember, there are no
losers, we are all winners, but the
actual winner is Anna Stone!
Everyone claps, as

Anna walks onto stage with her

wheelbarrow.
THE PRESENTER
Well then, Anna, I believe that is
your first victory. Tell me, how
did you grow it to get so big?
Anna smiles.
ANNA STONE
Oh, that's my lil' secret. You have
to put a lot of work into it. Blood
sweat and tears if you have to.
Anna chuckles.
The camera pans down from Anna's face, and focuses on the
odd shaped Potato in the wheelbarrow.
The scene then fades to a black screen.
