Reflection/Indicator of Success
a) How successful have I been in meeting my goal?
To judge how successful I have been with my goals, I will observe how my students react to my
lessons and teaching strategies. Noting where the students were at the beginning of the year and
charting progress throughout the year will be tangible data of student progress, and therefore my
progress as a teacher. Ask the students how they feel, and their responses will dictate how I am
doing to encourage them and welcome them in my classroom.

b) How has my professional practice improved?

My professional practice has improved because I have set new goals for the year. With these
goals, I am doing more self check-ins and self-evaluations to make sure I am following the goals
I set. By going to some extra math workshops and PD days, I will be expanding my skillset and
knowledge about mathematics.
c) How has student learning improved?
Student learning has improved because I have a deeper knowledge of the material, so I can help
transmit this knowledge to the students. Having deeper understanding will make me more
confident, and this will enable better student learning. Additionally, by planning with parents, we
are helping students stay on track with their studies. Furthermore, the positive reinforcements the
students will be receiving will improve their attitude towards learning mathematics which will in
turn improve their success rate.
