Media Relations Internship


The University of Denver is seeking media relations interns that are looking
to get both class credit and occupational experience in athletic media
relations. The internships will last either the quarter or semester that the
student is able to receive class credit.

Description
The media relations interns will learn to produce press releases and
publications associated with their supervisors assigned sports. As the
quarter/semester progresses, interns will write releases on their own and
help provide appropriate gameday coverage for assigned sports, including
but not limited to soccer, volleyball, hockey and basketball.

DU is currently a member of the NCAA (Division I) as well as The Summit


League, National Collegiate Hockey Conference, BIG EAST Conference,
Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference
and Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association.

Qualifications & Requirements


Students must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in journalism,
communications or a related field. Ability to work nights and weekends is
preferred. Applicants interested in pursuing a career in the media
relations/sports information field are best-suited for these positions.

Compensation: Class credit
