My Philosophy
As a future educator, when it comes down to teaching young children, education is
very important. I believe that it is important to begin educating young children at a
young age because high quality learning would give young children their start to
become successful in the future. I believe that young children learn through play
because when a child is in the dramatic play area, they are wearing different
costumes and theyre taking on the roles of others like pretending to be a doctor,
nurse, or a lawyer. Things like that are helping them to open up their imagination
to different things. If a little boy is playing in the block area, then its very
beneficial for him because hes learning how to build things, measuring things, and
counting things. The reading area is really important for young children because I
believe that literacy means everything. When you read to young children different
educational books, those books are going to really help them progress in the future.
I believe that words can help you express yourself, and communicate with others.
When youre reading it helps you understand the meaning of things. It is very
important for young children to learn about art because art can help them express

themselves better. When it comes down to art, young children love the textures,
colors, materials, and the different techniques. When children are creating and
exploring new things, children have the ability to interact with the world around
them. I believe that through art, children can develop better social and emotional
skills. If a child is creating something in art, they can learn about the control that
they have over their own efforts. The children can practice by sharing with one
another. Through art young children can learn to appreciate not just their work, but
the students that are around them as well. As a future teacher I believe that without
an education, you wont go far in life. The time to start educating young children is
now, and every child deserves a chance!! I believe that Friedrich Froebel was a
really great man who cared about young children because he believed that
Kindergarten was a safe place where children can grow and learn from their social
interactions with other children. Froebel also believed that it was necessary for
young children to play because that was how children learn. Philosopher Lev
Vygotsky believed that when children play, they are making sense of the world,
and the things around them using language. Cognitive development is really
important for young children because they are learning how to figure out things on
their own, allowing them to become independent in a way. I also believe that the
way that a classroom is set up for young children should be very high quality for
young children. I believe that children need to feel really safe, and as comfortable

as possible, because they need to feel that sense of security. In the reading area,
there should be a little couch thats fit for them so they could be comfortable while
reading. The tables and chairs should be made for them too so that it fits their
comfort. When children feel like their safe, cared about, and loved, then they have
a better chance at succeeding in life.
