Cat Attendant/Foster Caregiver


Friends for Life Gilbert, AZ.

Aug 2002 to Aug 2008

Volunteered biweekly to clean cat rooms, provided attention and


stimulation through playing games and petting time to keep cats
acclimated to human interaction. Minor handyman work to repair cat trees,
broken baseboards, and any other immediate hazards to cats' safety.
Fostered kittens abandoned in the valley, feeding and caring for them until
they were weaned and adoptable.

Out of Africa Camp Verde, AZ.

Sept 2009 to Oct 2009

Prepared meals for sable antelope, zebras, giraffes, emus, gemsbok, and other
animals native to the Serengeti environment. Entered enclosures to feed the
animals and provide support to paid employees. Conducted periodic checks of
wildlife to ensure there were no obvious health risks and monitored visitor
interaction with wildlife to ensure wildlife and visitor safety.

May 2005 to Aug 2005

Summer internship where I performed clerical duties such as scheduling


appointments, updating patient records, contacting owners, cleaning the office,
and sterilizing surgical equipment. Supported the veterinarian in medical
procedures ranging from removing cysts, to setting broken legs, to spay and
neuter surgeries.
