Description of Lesson: Students will need to identify the text structures used
in each given paragraph. Students can read with partners first, then go over them
as a class. Once paragraphs have been correctly labeled, the students will then
create a graphic organizer to show how the information is organized in each. I, as
the teacher, will pick one to model and then let students work on the others.

3. Students will be shown graphic organizers via powerpoint, and asked to call out
which text structure it belongs to as a review before beginning their project.
4. Students will be given handouts.
5. Students will label all paragraphs correctly, be given supplies, and assigned a
paragraph to do their projects on.
6. Students will put up their supplies and leave for their next class.

Accommodations: Students that work slower and are less creative will be

helped by the teacher. Students who still have a hard time analyzing the texts will
be read to and then asked questions to guide them to the correct answer.
