Dear Four-Girl or Vibiana,
You have chosen a religion that is ruining the powerful nation of
China and destroying its culture. The reasons for your fellow Christians
coming to our country is to supposedly spread the practices of your
own faith. However, from what I have seen there is only the stripping
away of our culture and the corruption of benefitting from the opium
trade between your foreigners nation and ours. I cannot fathom why
you are choosing to side with those conniving European foreigners,
who are bringing nothing but chaos to China. As they are only
sabotaging the religion that our ancestors have been practicing since
the rising of China as a nation. All of this destruction from the Christian
foreigners first started when your Father Bey broke our statue of Ti di
Gong. Ti Di Gong is a God, who is a great divinity to Chinas culture; he
resembles peace, wealth, and the safety to our community.
Moreover, China was doing just fine without the interference of
your religion, Christianity. Your fellow Christians beat my father almost
to death because he tried protecting and preserving the last of our
nation. Not only does this proves to me how your religion is full of

hypocrisy, but also how you do not follow your own doctrine, love thy
neighbor as thy self .
Let me reiterate, I am stating that China does not need any
Christian foreigners asserting their own ideas of one God. As we are
polytheists, who have many Gods to relate to and that describe the
wonders of life. Besides, if we do not agree with a certain God at the
time, we have the liberty to choose another that relates to us. Our
Gods do not discriminate: race, sexuality, gender, and animals. For
example, we have Guan Yu, Zheng Fei, and Sung Wu Kung who are the
Gods of the Peach Orchard brothers that are resembled in animal
forms. In addition, we have the Goddesses Guan Yin and Change who
are two of Chinas best heroines. We rejoice in viewing our Gods as a
form of entertainment when we go see them in operas, which make us
feel different emotions and connected to them. Whereas in Christianity
you are constantly being preached to by a minister and the biblical
lessons from a catechism. This being said, you can see that our
religions are very different in many ways.
Although I cannot change your mind I hope you do consider and
question over the immoral actions that your followers have done to our
people of China such as: profiting from selling and trading our opium,
the killing of innocent people, and the breaking of Chinas culture. All
the aforesaid reasons, define your religion as hypocrisy and an unjust
religion. China was once the most powerful nation in the world, and

now has been corrupted by the European Christians that you consider
yourself to be. You have adopted their culture and now you call
yourself Vibiana while you wear your Christian clothing. This is a
cultural modification that they persuaded you into and a choosing on
your part to alter your ancestors ways.
Therefore, you will receive the same treatment as your companions, as
you no longer represent the China I fight for.

As I write this letter to you, I appeal to your good judgment, and

compassionate heart to abandon those ideals that only separate us. Do
understand that just as you have decided to follow your monotheistic
ways with Christianity, I will continue fighting for our peoples rights to
practice the religion our ancestors. Our people have suffered enough,
enough blood has been shed, and I am committed to fight until the
end. I will not give up until I receive freedom for my country and our
religion. We will not let you take advantage of us, and will take our
country back for our ancestors and new generation to come. This fight
will not be over until there is one man standing and I am willing to fight
you and the foreigners until the end.
Christianity for you, it may represent the way to find your own
salvation so I ask you, why does our salvation have to be at stake? Is
your salvation more important than China? Allow us to continue
following the rituals and culture of our ancestors, practicing our belief

system, and embracing the way of life. We are at our cross roads and
our great nation deserves to thrive as it once did.
Although, I have stated the many reasons why I would defend
China and find Christianity to be an intrusion in our religious practices,
I also find myself understanding why you have adopted the Christian
ways. I pass no judgment in your decision as I know you only converted
to Christianity because you felt oppressed. What do you have now that
you did not have before? Has Christianity brought to you the peace and
freedom you were searching for? The colonization and mission work
you have brought through your Christians beliefs have made you savor
happiness yet I question if you feel remorseful when you see your
ancestry blood spilling on your land.
On a final note, Vibiana or Four-Girl, consider that the choices
you have made to save yourself have only created chaos and
unwanted suffering for our people. While you take great pride in your
Christian beliefs, I find myself wondering about your religious
fanaticism. I will defend the people and will continue the fight for our
religious freedom, no more stripping away of our culture, or our ways
of life we will stand united to deterred any unwanted foreigner to
preach religious beliefs that do not match our own. We will stand
united to preserve our countrys practices, and resources, we will stand
up to you, traitor.

Death will be the ultimate price for you and I to pay. Standing up
to your dogma and stopping your Christian beliefs from spreading will
be my only quest to preserve our great nation from becoming a
dreadful nation.
