management software Koha 3.s
Scope
1.Introduction to Linux, installation of Ubuntu, understanding Ubuntu file
system layout, creation of user and group, basic commands.
2.Basics of MySQL
3.Installation and Configuration of Koha
4.Introduction to MARC21 & Z39.50
5.Basics of RDA
6.Introduction of different modules of Koha including Acquisition & Serial Control
7.Web 2.0 facilities like tagging, comment, social sharing and RSS feeds & Reports
8.System Management & Basic customization
Registration Fee
1.Sponsored Delegates : Rs. 2000/- (without Accommodation) inclusive of all taxes.
2.Students/Self Sponsored : Rs. 1000/- (without Accommodation) inclusive of all taxes.
The fee covers the workshop kit, course materials, lunch and tea. The
number of participants is restricted to 20 and enrollment will be strictly
on a first-come-first-served basis.

Dear Library professionals,
The Kerala Agricultural University, in collaboration with the Academic Library Association, is organising a
Two Day Advanced National Training in Digital Library Management Using DSpace in its Central Library at

Main Campus, Vellanikkara, Thrissur during 24-25 April 2015 for library professionals. 40 persons will be
admitted to the training.
No Registration fee
Expense towards workshop kit & working Lunch (Rs. 400/-) should be paid by the participants.
Accommodation and travel expenses also should be borne by them. Subsidized accommodation can be
provided at University Guest House and hostel subject to the availability.
