Student Engagement/Higher-Order Thinking:
LoTi 5- Expansion/ Published To the Internet
Teaching is student-centered in this project and also there finished work will reach out to members in
the community. The indicators of engaged learning that are strong are student-directed. This is
because students get to choose how to make their videos, which will help other students learn. The
teacher is just a facilitator in this lesson idea.

Importance of technology:
Multimedia authoring tools are critical to this project because they engage learners and allow students to become the teacher.
This project could be done without technology, but it would most likely not be as engaging for the students. Without this
technology students would not get to visually see the impacts that humans have on the environment.
Inspiration (optional):

Internet Safety and Student Privacy: Briefly discuss some possible issues surrounding internet
safety and student privacy that could arise while implementing this learning experience and explain
how youd minimize risks to students/yourself, alleviate any fears by parents/administrators, and
follow school districts Internet Safety/Use Policy.
Students could be exposed to harmful material on the internet and also risk their personal information being published on the
internet. FERPA and CIPA laws will be strictly followed to keep students out of harms way. Also the finished videos will only be
public to parents and other students. Any personal information will not be included in student videos.
