living cells.

the cell membrane, in maintaining homeostasis and cell reproduction.

Describe how you would incorporate a Online Project/Collaboration Site/Publishing
Opportunity in your classroom: I would use this online project as a flipped
classroom assignment. The students would split into groups and
complete the online project, then present their project to the classroom.
During completion of the assignment the students will be teaching
themselves the material before it is reviewed more in depth in class.
What technologies would be required to implement this proposed learning activity
in a classroom? A computer and internet access
Describe how the following features are addressed in this learning experience
(note: all of them may not be addressed in the project, but most should be if you
are reaching a high LoTi Level.):
a. Collaboration with peers, near-peers, mentors outside their classroom
and often beyond their school: The students will work with each other
in order to get through the online cell organelle lesson.
b. Student-centered learning and knowledge creation (collecting original
data and or producing original products as a result of engaging in the
project): The students will be learning the material as they go through
the online lesson and while they are filling in the template with the
information they learn.
c. Higher-order thinking: Students will need to think about how the
different organelles affect the human body on a larger scale.
d. Students publishing their original work to others who will use/care
about their product: Students can publish their work onto the
classroom blog.

What Level of Technology Implementation best describes this learning activity and
Why? Level 4(integration) would describe this activity the best because it is not
quite reaching out to places outside of the classroom.

How could you implement this proposed learning experience and still comply with
your districts Internet Safety and Student Privacy policies? Students will need to
be monitored throughout their time on the internet. They will also need to make
sure not to sign up for anything online that they do not have permission to sign
up for. If any of their work is posted online then none of their personal information
needs to be integrated into it.
