Official Contest & Registration

Information
What to bring to the competition
- You MUST bring two forms of ID to registration day that show proof of your age and
a photograph (for example, a birth certificate and driver's license or a birth
certificate and a passport or a birth certificate and a school ID card). You may be
allowed up to two (2) people to accompany you to the contest if you are over the
age of 18. NO CHILDREN UNDER 13 YEARS OF AGE THAT ARE NOT PERFORMING
WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE CONTEST VENUES. Entrance availability for those not
competing and their necessary guardianship is limited and subject to availability.
- If you will be under 18 years of age on the day of the competition, your parent
and/or legal guardian MUST accompany you to the contest and remain with you for
the ENTIRETY of the contest. In addition, your parent or legal guardian must bring a
government-issued photo ID (for example, a drivers license or passport). If you are
accompanied by a legal guardian, as opposed to a parent, your legal guardian must
bring proof of guardianship (for example, a court order).
- Number Rules: Numbers (similar to those worn by runners) will be used as
identification, for those who did not register in person, numbers will be distributed
prior to the event at the contest location. In order to be admitted to the venue to
compete on contest day, you MUST HAVE received a number. DURING THE
CONTEST PROCESS, YOU MUST NOT REMOVE THE NUMBER. IN ADDITION, YOU MUST
NOT GIVE THE NUMBER TO ANOTHER PERSON OR ACCEPT A NUMBER FROM
SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE PRODUCTION STAFF. IF IT IS FOUND THAT YOU
RECEIVED YOUR NUMBER FROM SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE PRODUCTION STAFF,
OR THAT YOUR NUMBER HAS BEEN TAMPERED WITH IN ANY MANNER, YOU WILL BE
IMMEDIATELY DISQUALIFIED FROM THE CONTEST.

The Contest

- The Contest will consist of two (2) stages and ALL CONTESTANTS WILL NEED
ALL DAY AVAILABILITY (Sunday August 23rd, 2015).
- Stage 1: Contestants will have ninety (90) seconds to perform their original
composition in front of other competitors and a panel of judges. Upon completion of
stage 1 a select number of contestants will be selected to proceed to stage 2.
- Stage 2: Contestants will be given three (3) minutes to perform their original
composition in front of other competitors, judges, and audience members. Our
contest winners will be selected from this round.
- During both stages contestants will be judged on and rated by score in several key
areas. Judges will be looking at and scoring competitors based on style (including
demeanor and visual aesthetic), composition (production quality of all elements of
presentation), delivery, stage presence, and lyricism.
- Competitors will be responsible for providing their own musical accompaniment.
All music must be in a digital format and presented to production staff on thumb
drive the morning of the competition. A DJ and possibly a house band may be
present during the proceeding but they should not be relied upon exclusively to
provide above mentioned accompaniment.

General
- Grand Prize winner to receive $750 (Seven Hundred and Fifty Dollars) and
Audience Choice Award winner to receive $250 (Two Hundred and Fifty
Dollars). Contestants are eligible to receive BOTH prizes.
- You must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent legal U.S. resident who is eligible to
work full-time in the United States.
- If you are asked to advance to 1 of the 4 regional competitions (currently
scheduled to begin January 11th, of 2016, you MUST be able to demonstrate to the
satisfaction of Producer that you do not have any of the following agreements in
effect (written or oral):
- an exclusive contract for talent representation (for example, a talent agent or
manager)
- an exclusive current music recording contract
- an exclusive current music publishing contract
- an exclusive current agreement relating to the use of your name, voice and/or
likeness
- an exclusive acting contract; or any other contractual arrangement that would
prohibit you from fully participating in the show and/or entering into any contracts
required by Producer, including an exclusive management contract, recording
contract, music publishing contract, and merchandising contract.

- By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of


the producer, the voting audience, and the panel of judges, which shall be final and
binding. Your presence at the competition, and the presence of your friends, family
members, and anyone else accompanying you, constitutes your and their consent
and agreement to the recording and use of your and their performance,
appearance, name, voice, singing voice, likeness and any musical or sound effects
produced by you and/or them for use in connection with any television program,
motion picture, wireless/mobile device, or the Internet for all purposes (including
advertising, marketing, promotion, merchandising and the exploitation of any and
all ancillary and subsidiary rights), as the same may be edited, in all media now
known or hereafter created, throughout the universe, in perpetuity for no
compensation, unless otherwise required by law. IF YOU AND/OR YOUR FRIENDS,
FAMILY MEMBERS, OR ANYONE ELSE ACCOMPANYING YOU TO THE COMPETITION, DO
NOT WISH TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED, OR DO NOT AGREE WITH THESE TERMS, PLEASE
DO NOT ATTEND THE COMPETITION AND DO NOT ENTER THE VENUE WHERE THE
AUDITIONS ARE TAKING PLACE. Your and/or their attendance at the audition event
will be conclusively deemed to be a waiver of any and all claims for invasion of
privacy, defamation, etc.
- We reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude, in our sole and absolute
discretion, any individual from the competition for any reason or for no reason at all,
including without limitation, violation of any portion of these rules, or tampering
with the entry process or the competition process. We also reserve the right to
change the rules and procedures at any time. Being chosen to compete at any level
in the process does NOT ensure that you will be selected to continue to the next
stage.
- NO WEAPONS, ALCOHOL, OR NON-PRESCRIPTION CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES WILL
BE PERMITTED AT COMPETITION
- FOR THE DURATION OF THE CONTEST AND THE PROCESS THAT FOLLOWS RUDE,
BELLIGERENT, AGGRESSIVE, OR DISRUPTIVE BEHAVIOR (WHETHER DIRECTED AT
FELLOW COMPETITORS, THEIR GUEST, PRODUCTION STAFF OR IN GENERAL) WILL BE
IMMEDIATE GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATION AND/OR EXCLUSION FROM
PROCEEDINGS THAT FOLLOW.
