Student teaching intern for a Next Generation Learning Community
Provided instruction for 24 students in fourth and fifth grade. Developed daily lesson plans and
learning activities that meet the individual learning needs of each student.
Implemented Tier 2 and Tier 3 RtI instruction for 9 fourth and fifth grade students in math.
Implemented Number Worlds curriculum for students in Tier 3 RtI instruction.
Attended all RtI meetings and reported on student progress in both reading and math
Collaborated with fellow teachers to create and implement curriculum for after school

Utilized the Readers Workshop approach to prepare and execute three whole group lessons on:
using prior knowledge and making predictions to understand a fiction text, how to make good
summaries of a fiction text, and using text features to understand on nonfiction text.

Provided training to teachers as the model teacher and classroom for the Marquette Early
Reading First Project.
Collaboratively designed an effective classroom arrangement that supported the goals and
development of the students in the classroom.
Provided a full range of social and academic learning activities by planning and organizing the
