Self-contained classroom with the additional subject of religion. Students thrive in my classroom
due to my calm, purposeful nature. Two out of two students with IEPs were able to join general
education 100 percent after leaving my classroom. Students move to the middle school after
Sacred Heart, and those teachers have commended them on their strong skills; these students
attribute their success to me, their sixth grade teacher. Every student, along with their parents, is
thrilled with the growth they achieve in sixth grade. There is an excellent, lasting rapport that
proves the true passion I have for teaching and guiding my students, past and present.

Fourth through sixth grade students went one-to-one with iPads after my first year. I became the
technology leader in charge of iPad management (maintenance, monitoring, app purchasing,
troubleshooting).

Took on the role of student council advisor, which included fundraising, planning school
functions, and a monthly newsletter. Also established a mentoring program with Sacred Heart
alumni, which has received great support from teachers, parents, and other community
members.

Chosen as one of two teachers to act as the schools Leadership Team. This team was in charge of
implementing the Multi-Tiered Support System (MTSS) in our building. Attended professional
development meetings and planned in-services to guide colleagues through the new information.

condition and had an associate with him at all times. Also, an associate came in during science to
help with the three special education students. The room included a Promethean board, which
was incorporated whenever possible. During this time, I performed all full-time teaching
responsibilities.
