On March 11, 2004, there was bombing of the four commuter train in Madrid, Spain.

The attack
eliminates at least two hundred people on site. The FBI, known as the federal bureau
investigation, found latent images of the fingerprints in the plastic bag. They had a lead suspect
named Brandon Mayfield, was arrested based on the evidence. The U.S. Attorney office has
conspired against Mayfield, whom they thought he had connections with muslim terrorists. The
Spainards discover different set of fingerprints from the plastic bag. A new suspect, whom was
an Algerian national, who planted the bomb in the commuter trains. The FBI issues an apology
to Mayfield and his family. This created a huge disaster, embarrassing mistake on the FBI. They
were required to change their policies, create new guidelines, and develop new techniques to
investigate another case like Mayfield. For example, they decide to create new positions like
large print examiner and forensic expert to specializing in fingerprinting in the laboratory. The
FBI agency is required permission by the committees to implement these new plans and discuss
to help avoid errors.
