Sinners Are Not Served Here

By Elton Camp
(I dont approve of gay marriage, but that is my personal belief based on religious convictions. When a
public official refuses services on that basis, we are treading on dangerous ground. In the New Testament,
adulterous remarriages are equally condemned with homosexual relations. How far is imposing ones
religious beliefs on others to extend? What if someone applies to operate a legal gambling casino? Shall it
be denied because it offends the belief of the public official whose job it is to issue it?)

A county clerk has taken her stand

Gays, marriage licenses neednt demand
In Gods authority she is speaking
To those, public services seeking
According to what she has to say,
The law, theres no need to obey
Sinners, to her, are such a blight
To equal justice have no right
With such force would she speak
If adulterers a marriage license seek?
To such refusals, there could be no end
For those who her religious beliefs offend
She holds a job shes expected to do
If not, then she should be through
Job loss is a small price to pay
For defending her Christian way
To the unemployment line let her go
The USAs no Theocracy she should know
