Welcome to EC3 Back To School Night!

EC3 Rainbow Fish: Amy and Roxana

EC3 Clownfish: Ana and Claudia

We create an engaging environment where each child feels

EC3 Goals

safe, comfortable, and valued.

We will nurture and encourage growth across all
developmental areas: physical, cognitive, language,
emotional and social.
We believe that each child develops in his/ her own time.
We will track each childs growth using various
observations, continuums and learning stories.
Our goal is for our young learners to demonstrate
progress. Progress will look differently for each child and
should always be celebrated.
Socially, children will grow in independence and learn to
respect others, communicate, and work cooperatively.

How We Support Your Child`s

Learning in EC3
We are a PYP school: collaborative efforts and critical thinking are actively
promoted.
Promote the growth of the whole child (social, emotional, and academic)
Approach learning through inquiry (asking questions and searching for answers)
Empower children in their own learning
Develop a language rich classroom
Teach responsibility (library books, cleaning up after themselves, learner choices)
Plan and facilitate active, engaging activities
Differentiate instruction (know where individuals are and take them further)

Housekeeping Items
Two sets of clothes (T-shirt, pants/skirt, socks,
underwear)
Comfortable shoes
Bed sheets, pillows and blankets for nap time.
On Friday blankets, bed sheets and pillows can be taken
home to be washed.
Our school encourages a healthy lifestyle, therefore
birthday celebrations and class parties need to adhere to
AISB food policy.

What You Can Do As Parents

Make sure your child gets approximately 10 to 11 hours of sleep

each night.
Make sure your child eats a healthy breakfast.
Arrive at school on time with a happy child.
Read to your child and spend quality time with your child.
Your childs mother tongue is very important. Make sure to read
to your child in their native language.
Keep your teacher informed- is your child happy coming to
school?
Value and encourage your childs strengths and talents.

Thank you for coming!

only attempt to provide

they can learn"
