This course is designed for professionals who work in


homes and buildings such as contractors, home
inspectors, real estate professionals, appraisers, and
energy auditors. The building science course content
covers how a home or building functions as a system
to provide comfort, energy efficiency and durability.
Understanding how the components in the system interact is critical when
recommending upgrades, doing installations, or simply evaluating
different material choices. Elements such as insulation, building tightness,
mechanical systems and indoor air quality are discussed as factors in
making the home or building a healthy, comfortable and energy efficient
environment for the occupants.
