THE HARE AND THE TORTOISE SONG

Once there live a hare in the wood

The hare runs very fast than others He says
I am the fastest animal in this wood,'
and no one can beat me in a race .

The fox raced the hare. he lost.

The squirrel raced the hare. he lost,too.
I'm the fastest animal in this wood!'
'And no one can beat me in a race

Then the sleepy old tortoise asked

Do you wish to race with me

The hare laughed loudly and say,

You are the slowest animal in this wood.'

Then the sleepy old tortoise asked,

Do you want to race with me
The hare laughed till tears ran down
Oh,thats funny you silly old tortoise

That afternoon all the animals came

to watch the race of hare and tortoise
they all want the tortoise to win.
But some says he is slow yet clever.

The race started and the hare raced quickly.
after running a hundred metres, he looked back.
the tortoises was a long, long way behind.
'that silly tortoise!' thought the hare.
he could never beat me at all
He came to a tree. And rest awhile
Thinking that the tortoise would never ever catch him at all

The hare sat down beside the path.

He closed his eyes. soon he was asleep.
when the hare woke up, the sun was low in the sky.
a squirrel came by to see the mean hare.

'where is that silly old tortoise?' asked the hare

'he's finishing the race, now,' said the squirrel.
'WHAT!' cried the hare.
the hare ran to the other end.
when he arrived the tortoise HAD WON.

all the other animals cheered.

the tortoise turned and looked at the hare.
'you are not the fastest animal, Mr Hare,
'but you are the laziest in this wood.
