Dear HS791 Students:

Welcome to the Speaking Skills and Oral Presentation segment of the course.
In order to warm up for the lectures, please do the following assignments :
1. Talk to at least 5 senior students who have already done this course to find out what they
learnt from this course.
a. Make sure you are taking notes when they talk.
b. Have each conversation be about 15 minutes.
c. You could also ask them what they feel YOU could / should learn from the course.
d. Ask them if there are things they wished they had learnt during this course.
e. Summarise these conversations (handwritten or typed) and send them to the email
as in (3) below.
2. Write three things that you want a breakthrough in Speaking Skills and Oral Presentation:
a. Where is it in the past that you have played smaller than you wanted to, just
because of Speaking Skills and Oral Presentation.
b. What, if you got in this course would alter your life forever !
c. Summarise these thoughts (handwritten or typed) and send them to the email as in
(3) below.

Exercises. Please complete this by Saturday (September 26) 11:59 pm.
