Design a Bookmark Contest

For Teen Read Week 2015

The theme of this years Teen Read Week is, Get Away.
Away. Your bookmark design
must fit the theme of Teen Read Week. Design a bookmark in the rectangle
provided below that gives us the spirit of a book or story where the character/s
traveled somewhere in our world or even a world that does not exist. Think Harry
going to Hogwarts, Dorothy going to the Emerald City, or Katniss going to the Capitol.
Only one entry per student is allowed.
All designs are due in the library by Wednesday, October 29th at 2:30PM.
The judges will be judging each entry on your portrayal of the literature that you
have selected, the aesthetic design (attractiveness), and your creativity in executing
this design. Use a BLACK felt tip marker or pen or pencil on your bookmark. Designs
should be in black and white only.
All bookmarks should include the title, author and your name. Your bookmark may be
drawn from a horizontal or vertical perspective. You must stay within the lines
provided. You may create your design on the computer, but it must fit in the space
provided below.
Two winners will be selected-- one student from middle school and one student from
high school. Each winner will receive a $20 gift card to Barnes & Noble Bookstore,
and their bookmark reproduced for the whole school.
