State the problem/project. In your own words, what were you asked to do?
-Our project was to create 3 flyers in publisher, thats 8.5 by 11.
We had to make a Halloween flyer, Food Waste Flyer, and a remake of the Halloween flyer in
black and white.
What were your input factors? What did you need to learn or know before you could begin the
assignment?
- We needed to learn how to change the photos to fight into our flyers, and we had to do
research and find out information about what we were making our flyers on.
What research did you do and where?
- I researched on Google and watched a video on it.
- I also collaborated with another student to help plan out my flyer and to get more
information on it too.
- All of my research was online.
Describe the process in detail. List the steps you followed in order to complete each the
assignment.
- First I opened up a template for the Halloween flyer
o Then I planned out all the information that was going on the flyer
o Looked up photos on Google
o Then I started to make my flyer.
- Black and White
o I opened up a blank template
o And shifted it too a horizontal flyers.
o Then I just started testing thins out in certain places.
- Food Waste

I researched about the flyer first.


Brainstormed and sketched out what I wanted it to look like.
Looked up photos on Google.
Tested it out in publisher
Made it a poster.

When you have completed the assignment, describe the output/product (your projects) in
detail.
- Each flyer I feel has its own different design and way of getting the information out there.
For the Halloween posters I changed the format and the way it looked, but had similar
information.
Describe feedback you received during the project (suggestions, comments, etc). From peers
and the instructor. How did you use this feedback to correct issues with your project?
- The feedback helped for me to see things that I didnt see in the first place. And to go
back and fix things.
What did you learn during the assignment such as programs, tools, skills, design concepts,
software, hardware, etc.
- I learned how to use publisher and the different tools in there. Also I learned how to make
the white out of the background so it matches and the whole poster. I learned about
shaping and brining things backwards or forward to get the image that I wanted.
If you were to do the project again, what would you do differently and why?
- If I was able to do the project again I would change the way my first flyer looked because
as I went on I learned more tools and how to change things up. I also had gained more
experience with each flyer I did.
