Body found in bus ferrying Umno supporters

KAJANG: The body of a man was found stuffed in a bag in the luggage compartment of an
excursion bus carrying some 40 Puteri Umno supporters to the Kajang nomination centre
yesterday.
The bus driver discovered the sports bag at 8am following complaints from the supporters of a
foul stench coming from the back of the bus.
The bus left Semenyih at 7am and reached Kajang Stadium an hour later, where all the
supporters were dropped off. The driver later checked the luggage compartment of the bus,
where he discovered the bag.
Suspecting something amiss, he immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the scene and
found the body in the bag.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Rosli Mohd Nizam said the victim was heavily built and most likely
in his 40s.
He said the bus driver, from Sungai Besi Indah, was detained for questioning, adding that records
showed that the bus was last used for an excursion on Friday.
The body was sent to the Serdang Hospital for a post-mortem.
