UNA MANERA DIFERENTE DE APRENDER UNOS 100 PHRASAL VERBS COMUNES

Get through with es terminar; get over es superar; get out es

marcharse, catch up with es, entre otras cosas, ponerse al da, etc.
La pesadilla de las phrasal verbs!
Cmo recordarlas?

He put the jacket on. = Se puso la chaqueta.
O despus de la preposicin:
He put on the jacket. = Se puso la chaqueta.
El complemento es the jacket.

Pero, si el complemento es un pronombre como him o it, debe ir siempre

entre el verbo y la preposicin.
He put it on = Se la puso.

COPYRIGHT, 2002 BY DANIEL MIGUEL BEERS MORENO.

PAGE 4

I have to care for my grandmother. = Tengo que cuidar a mi abuela.
El complemento es my grandmother.
I have to care for her. = Tengo que cuidarla.
I have to care her for.

I can't put the painting on the wall.
I can't put on the painting the wall.

PAGE 5

UNA MANERA DIFERENTE DE APRENDER UNOS 100 PHRASAL VERBS COMUNES

Repaso:
preposicin: (put the hat on/put on the hat).
Eye:
Si el complemento es pronombre (him, it, that) slo se puede poner el
complemento entre el verbo y la preposicin:
(put it on, nunca put on it).

(look for the jacket o look for it).
Eye:
(ask him)
y el indirecto despus de la preposicin:
ask him for the jacket. = Pdele la chaqueta (a l).
