Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)
Take students to the carpet ( ask about the date, days in a week, months in a year, take the attendance, and the
day of today).
I will start the lesson with a short story. The story will be about a bug moving around the class, and in this story
the students will hear five different sentences about the preposition. After I tell them the story, I will ask them
about the story , and ask them to reorder the events for me using the preposition ( the position of the bugs
during
story). However,

The activity is about matching cards. I will distribute the pictures for each student. And, randomly each
two students will get the same picture. First, I will model the activity for the students. The students
should listen to me when Im saying the description. The students who get the picture according to the
description should stand up. Then, I will ask one student from each group to say a description. And in
this way, the students will be able to identify the prepositions and the order of the sentences. While they
are working I will support the students and give them feedback, as a way to encourage them.
( Engage, explore, and explain).
Independent Experience (small group activity 1)
I will give the students a worksheet including (writing sentences depend on the picture), and they will
work individually to assess them. But, the first question will solve it together. (Extend and evaluate).

Independent Experience(small group activity 2)

I will end the lesson with the puzzle. In this activity, each group will get a different picture from the
other group. First, I will show them an example (I do..you watch). Second, I will show them another
example and I will ask them to help me this time(I doyou help). Third, I will give them the activity and
give them help and support ( you doI help). Last, I will ask them to tell me the sentences ( you doI
watch). The purpose is to pronounce the preposition in a sentence. ( Extend and evaluate).

Closing
Check the answers together. Do the puzzle activity. Give them homework (different worksheet depending on
their level, differentiation).

What went well
1. Let the students feel part of the story, enjoy and be focusing all the time.
2. Using preposition through the story (give students idea about using preposition in a different position).
3. I helped Hessa in writing the sentences.
Even better if..
1. Give students more activities to do.
2. Use activities that centered on students.
Next Steps in learning and teaching
1. Discourage shouting the song.
2. Ensure that some students are able to distinguish between the preposition ( Fajer and Alia for example).
