Section Four: Differentiating Instruction through Technology

Introduction

As an educator it is important to teach my students learn how to incorporate technology,

in their learning. For example, students who learn how to use technical devices will help them
explore more opportunities in their future. Many educational company have created software and
websites to enhance the educational experience, by create games and programs that help build
students educational strengths. Therefore, the goal I have for my students will be to use various
forms of technology to learn the skill of public speaking while presenting a key note or power
point to present, iMovie, and a video using photo booth for their projects.
Technology to Differentiate Instruction
Key Note/Power Point :
As an educator I will use a key note or a power point presentation to present different
forms of curriculum to the students. For example, I would present a presentation on health and
wellness and why it is so important to keep our bodies healthy. Students will achieve learning
and how to research information and transfer their research onto a digital presentation. The skills
that the students will master learn how to do research, and present information to their peers,
using creativity and they will learn collaboration with their peers. As the students master these
skills in raft card number 1 theyre meeting the state standards of creativity, collaboration, and
research.
Video- Using Photo Booth:
Using photo booth, I can create a personal video that could be use to present the
instructions for this assignment, students would be able to have an example of what is being ask.
Students, will learn how to operate the video system within their computer to record their
presentation on how our bodies process healthy and organic foods. The students will also be
learning the skills of video voice over. Students will meet the following state standards of being

creative, and collaboration, and research, because students must do research to create their photo
booth recording. Students will gain confidence in presenting their presentations in front of their
peers in doing raft card number two.
iMovie:
Using the iMovie, tool for I will be able to teach students how to drag and drop music
and pictures and video to make one movie on how water travel through our bodies and how its
process. As an instructor I will be able to show my students an example of the project that they
are expected to present on how water travels and his process in our bodies, students will then
have a clear understanding of how to use the iMovie tool to help them with their presentation.
Students will students will be meeting the State standards in creativity and collaboration as they
create the presentation on how water travels they can use voice overs and videos to show how
the journey of water coast through our body it would also be exercising research. students were
also learning, how to do presentations in front of their peers ambulance doctor they will be
learning Public speaking as an introduce their movie in raft card number three.
Pros and Cons
The pros of using technology to differentiate instruction, the benefits of using
technology based devices to give instructions and teach by using a projector and laptop using a
power point presentation or iMovie, and photo booth. The cons of using technology base devices
is that sometimes those devices can malfunction, for example the projector light can blow out,
the top can stop working properly, or there could be a power outage that would prevent the
lesson from being presented.
Concluding Paragraph
The students will use three different raft cards will give the students an opportunity to

execute their ability to use technology to create a power point presentation that would explain
how your favorite food travels, healthy organic food and water travel through the human body.
The students will have the opportunity to present their projects in front of their teacher and their
peers. Student will have the ability to meet the state standards as they complete each raft card.
