Testable question: Can different types of salt affect the speed

of a watermelons growth.
Hypothesis: If different types of salt affects the speed of a
watermelons growth, then the regular watered seeds will last
longer, because the faster it grows, the shorter its life span
(the Epsom salt will grow too fast so it will die faster).
Rationale: . The rationale of my experiment is that the water
was living longer then eventually it stopped growing before the
Epsom salt watered plants.

experimental set
Equipment: 3 foil trays, 3 water bottles, water, Epsom salt, salt,
plastic cups, dirt, watermelon seeds, table spoon, plastic funnel,
fork, and sharpie.
Directions: first, get three bottles of water. Then, get Epsom salt
and salt. Also get a table spoon and a funnel. Finally get 24
plastic cups, a sharpie and a fork. Poke a hole throw all of the
plastic cups with the fork. Put all the cups by 8s in three
different foil trays. In the cup put the seed then the dirt for each
cup. Then with the funnel use the tablespoon to put a
tablespoon of Epsom salt in one water bottle and salt in another
water bottle leave the last water bottle alone. On the water
bottle that you havent touch name it W on the cap, on the
water bottle you put salt in name it s on the cap, and the
water bottle you put Epsom salt in name it E on the cap, all
with the sharpie.

Analysis

Something I noticed trending during this experiment is that all the plants use the same amount of water
but they all grew at their own

Conclusion and References

The conclusion to my experiment is my hypothesis was
wrong the Epsom salt water lasted longer than the plain
watered plants.

This site is trustworthy because it has all the information you need to grow any plant and how well it
is cause of its weight.
These are the sites that I used to get information on of different liquids like salt water and Epsom salt
water to grow watermelons.

Abstract/Conclusion
My question is can watermelons grow with different types of salts. The
rationale of my experiment is that the water was living longer then one day
it just stopped. The Epsom salt water grew the tallest and lasted the longest.
My experiment is about if you try to grow watermelons with different salted
water, like salt and Epsom salt water then the control group with only water
will last longer. My experiment was about the different types of water like
salt and Epsom salt water. It was about how water would of lasted longer
than in the plants with salt. The result of my experiment was that the Epsom
salt water lasted longer then water and salt watered plants. The conclusion
to my experiment is my hypothesis was wrong the Epsom salt water lasted
longer than the plain watered plants. In my hypothesis I said that the water
was going to live longer than the salts.
