Do Certain Liquids Affect Plant

Growth?
How does Coke, Gatorade, Hot Water, and Cold Water Affect plant Growth

Abstract
My problem is, how certain liquids affect plant growth. The purpose of this
experiment is to see how coke, Gatorade, hot water, and cold water affect the height
of a plant. My hypothesis is, if I water the plants with cold water then the plants will
sprout faster because cold water is the closest temperature to room temperature tap
water. My procedures are, water a set of 20 plants with Gatorade, water a set of 20
plants with Coca Cola, Water a set of 20 plants with cold water, water a set of 20
plants with hot water, set them in the sun for 13 days and measure how much they
grow every 4 days, water the plants every two days with the liquids, and check the
plants on the last day and record the growth. My data says that when I water plants
with Coke I get an average of .57 cm. If I water my plants with Gatorade I get an
average of 1 cm. When the plants are watered with hot water I get an average of 1.7
cm. Finally, when I water plants with cold water I get an average of 3.7 cm. My control
group, which was watered with tap water, had an average of 3.7 cm. I can conclude
that cold water is the best liquid for plant growth.

had the hightest average plant growth. I can conclude that col water
is the best liquid for plant growth.
