I love the season of Advent,

when we take extra time to
consider the wonderful reality
that Jesus came into our world
to do what we could not do for
ourselves. [**** Quote Photo

What a joy to join with the Cornerstone

community in chapel today to dedicate
the new sculpture - "Let There Be
Light" - by renowned sculptor Albert
Paley. Thankful to have this piece of
special artwork on our campus
welcoming all who enter Christ Chapel
with a visual reminder of Christ's
divine declarations and His work on
our behalf! [include two or three pics
from the service and unveiling]

Leaders who lead with moral
authority elevate Jesus as the true
leader of the enterprise by turning
the spotlight away from themselves
to him. And the joy of it all is that
celebrating Jesus as the
preeminent person in our midst
make leadership an act of worship!

When we allow the Savior to
pick us up and reveal the
mess weve made of
ourselves, its only then that
we can begin to live a useful,
productive life that brings
pleasure to our heavenly
Father.

Today, look for moments to

extend reliable grace to the
people in your life. When you
do, your loyalty and
allegiance to Jesus will be
more on display than if you
had a bumper sticker
emblazoned across your
forehead.

No matter how strong or

compelling a leader may be in his
own right, compared to Christ there
is no contest. John the Baptist sets
the example. Although he made
the headlines and drew massive
crowds, he said that one was
coming whose sandals he was not
worthy to untie. He then concluded
that, "he must increase but I must
decrease. (create graphic)

[photo] I just love Christmas traditions.

One of my favorites is reading
Christmas stories to students at the
annual Christmas Party in Babcock
Hall here at Cornerstone University.
This year we read "Christmas Day in
the Morning" by Pearl S. Buck. Do you
have a favorite Christmas story?

"In our modern-day

materialized blur of Christmas,
we must keep reminding
ourselves that the birth of
Jesus put into motion the
central act of Gods
redemptive plan, and it came
at a cost. Not only did Jesus
temporarily relinquish the
glorious privileges of heaven,
He ultimately gave His life on
a blood-stained cross where
His sinless body bore the
weight of my sinand yours.
Jesus presented our world
with a costly redemptive gift. "
