Essential Question:
To investigate how the earth and its inhabitants have changed over time.
Questions:
Brain Development
`
What are
Antibiotics?
What is Antibiotic
Resistant?
Why are antibiotics
not able to kill
bacteria?
Notes:
~Group Presentation:
Throughout each group presentation, the topic of brain
development was touched on the most out of
everything the groups presented. For example, in
group threes presentation, the group compared the
brain development of animals who lived in bare cages
vs. the brain development of animals who lived in
cages with toys and other animals. During the
experiment, scientist determined that animals who
have access to toys and contact with other animals
have more brain growth than animals who didnt. The
data showed that the more something is exposed to
different materials and groups of other that are like
them, then that person will have greater brain
development.

~Origin of Hypothesis:
Special Creation: Life was created by a supernatural or
divine force (NOT TESTABLE)
Extraterrestrial Origin: Original sources of organic
material are comets and meteorites striking early earth.
(TESTABLE)
Spontaneous Antibiotic Origin: Evolved spontaneously
from organic molecule. (TESTABLE)
Punctuated
Equilibrium vs.
Gradualism
Summary: Throughout the course of time, scientist have pondered the thought of human existence on Earth.
There have been multiple theories that try to explain why there is life. For example, the Special Creation theory
states that all life was created by a supernatural or divine force. However, there is no way to test this theory.
Scientist today are still trying explain how and why there is life on earth.
