Abstract
She has been a teacher for ten years and for all ten years she has worked in Special
Education. A teacher has to be student center, patient, and flexible because each day is going to
bring different challenges. She does not have normal class her students are in other classrooms
most of the day because she does special education. She talks with parents individual about their
child and trains the aids and volunteers the confidentiality they need to keep about a particular
student. The hardest part for her is living in the community that she works in because she has to
separate school and private life when she sees students outside of school. Yes it does differ on
how she contacts them and how she supports each kid individually. Maple Glenn is not diverse in
culture but in what each child needs in support. I think that the topics of these questions really
get into how the teacher teaches and interacts with the kids and parents.
I think that a teacher should be flexible because lessons plans can change from the
slightest thing. I would also talk to the parents individually about their own kids and what is
going on with their kid. Maple Glenn elementary school is not very diverse in cultural
backgrounds or ethics. But is diverse in what kind of support each child needs with his or her
school work. On how each student learns is where the true diversity is in every single school in
the Untied States. By just being there for kid is always a good thing because you are there when
they really need your help with school work or someone to talk to about something that has been
troubling them at school or home.
I agree with how the she maintains confidentially which helps protect her from liability
by keeping her private life separate from her school life. It is essential function of personal ethics

in ones teaching and philosophy. Personal ethics is what defines us as person and as a
professional teacher. My morals make me a good choice to become a teacher because I have a
strong sense of justice. Which makes me want to treat each student equally; without, picking a
favorite student. That is how personal ethics will work with being or becoming a professional
teacher.
My reason for becoming a teacher; specifically a high school history teacher, because I
had several good history teachers in high school. Especially, my U.S history two teacher who
incorporated pop culture into every lesson that he taught. He also had us perform skits to help us
see what it was life back then. We did fun projects in his class to like writing a song about a
famous singer from different era. By being interactive with each other and finding out what it
was like to live in a certain area.
This teacher also taught Sociology were we had to skits to help us understand other
peoples view points. We also learn what people accepted to be social norms and what is not
accepted in society. We had to do projects like doing a random act of kindness, making up are
ideal country, etc. It helped us learn other people think and one should try and understand other
peoples view point of how society should work. It helped us be prepared for the real world and
what is expected of us in the adult world.
Becoming a teacher has always been a challenge but the profession has come far since it
has been invented. Women have had it harder the men the profession of teaching since they were
allowed to in the 1800s. Women who wanted to be teachers could not date or get married; their
main priority was to teach young minds. Teachers were expected to basically live and breathe
teaching. They had to take care of the house keeping along with shaping the minds of the states

future. That meant that they barely got any sleep and could only hope to be able to dress
modestly and set an example for their students to follow. The stereotype that teachers had no life
started at the beginning when the jobs of teachers begin.
Following the theory of multiple intelligences to teach students in the way they learn the
best. By applying this theory to ones teaching style helps one become a more well rounded as a
teacher. It would help the students better understand the material that it is being taught to them in
the classroom. By teaching each lesson plan in a variety of ways so that each kid learns what you
are trying to teach them. I believe that it is the best way to teach kids instead of just teaching
them all the same way. The students get more of lesson if you teach the lesson in different ways
so that all students have a chance to understand the lesson.
I cannot wait to become a teacher and shape the young minds of this countrys future
leaders. Also because I have had so many good teachers so far through my school career,
especially in high school. I have always love history and I would and will enjoy sharing this love
with other people. My favorite teacher Mr. Ewing inspired me to become a teacher because he
had such a passion for history and teaching. He had such a passion he created a new class called
Pop Culture history class where we learned about the cloths, media, fads , and the sports of each
decade. I cannot wait to become a licensed teacher and inspire students to also maybe one day
become a teacher too.
