GETTING LOGICAL SYMBOLS IN MICROSOFT WORD

This process allows you to get logical symbols in the computer software
Microsoft Word. After choosing the symbols you want to use, you can specify
what keys you need to press to get that symbol. For example, for the horseshoe
of implication you might assign that symbol to the keys Ctrl-Alt-I. After you
have completed the process and exited the menu, whenever you press Ctrl-Alt-I
the horseshoe of implication will appear. (Be sure to use key combinations that
have not already been used.
1. Open the Insert Menu by clicking on the word Insert in the main tool bar.
2. When the Insert Menu drops down, select the word Symbol and release
the mouse button.
You will be presented with the Symbol Dialog box.
3. Within the Symbol Dialog box, look at the choices of symbols that are
showing. If you dont see the symbol you want, use the scroll box on the
right to look through other options.
4. As soon as you see the symbol you want, click on it to select it.
5. To assign a set of keystrokes to that symbol, click on the Shortcut button.
6. When presented with the Shortcut Dialog Box, press the keys you want to
control the desired symbol. For example, you might want to press Ctrl-AltI to represent the horseshoe of implication.
7. To exit the Shortcut Dialog Box you would click on the Assign button.
