total of 24 million pounds. This year, the club had
to sell them both to pay for the new stand. In total
they received 31 million pounds for the two
players making a profit of 25% on the striker and
50% on the defender. How much did they sell the
striker for?
Answer 25 million

S2 The plan below represents the playground in my


junior school. The corners are at co-ordinates (13,
12), (13, -14), (-13, -14) and (-13, 14) and the arrow
indicates north. Four crosses have been drawn on
the playground at co-ordinates (10, 10) , (6, -7) , (-8
, -11) and (-5 , 5) but these are not shown on the
plans below.
If you were to connect the 4 crosses to form a 4

There are strict rules in our school which state that

distance of 20 metres. If you were to walk from

figure, following school rules at all times, how far
would you walk?
