Main Focus
Education
Our Idea
We plan on supplying a particular school with pamphlets/books that can
guide the students on learning and absorbing more knowledge than they
have been before. The pamphlet/book will be in the form of an general
informational guiding book to supply the students with information that
they will need in some points of life. We will also provide an introduction
to the use and benefits of the pamphlet/book to the students of that
school.
Need (Why This Plan is Needed)

This is needed so this school will be better in such ways that is not what we
think they need, but by what they actually need, on their point of view. We
also need this to improve the productiveness of this schools students so
the students can absorb the most of the knowledge they are given.
Purpose (How This Plan Will Help)
- Our plan in this task is to achieve peace and happiness by supplying
people of need with what they need, and in which case we will achieve
the joy of giving and they will receive a gift and the thankfulness of
receiving.
- We plan on supplying students of need with education and such through
books and supplies to support their learning process in their school.
- We plan on donating these items to improve the wellbeings of the
school and to give the students what they deserve.
Participation (Who Will Be Involved and What They Will Do)
Students
Albert, Alessandro, Harimas and Meshach - We will be designing the
pamphlet/book and conduct the things needed to complete this act.
Teachers
Pak Agung - He will guide us in our act and will provide comments on
our planning and activity.
Other Adults
Parents - They will helps us with the transportation needed.
Organizations or Groups
Printing Place - This organization will assist us in printing the
pamphlet/book that we will design.
School - This organization will be the ones that we will offer help.
Outcomes (What We Expect to Happen as the Result of our Work)
We expect that the students of the school we choose to help will learn a
lot of things through this book/pamphlet.
We also expect that the students will be happy and thankful because of
being given something by someone they do not know.
We will also expect that the books will become a useful tool to help
each of the students in their learning process.
How We Will Check Our Progress and Outcomes (What Evidence We
Will Collect and How We Will Use It)
We will contact/visit the school and make sure that what we gave to
them are useful.

We will attempt to visit the school at any chance given.

We will ask the students if the book/pamphlet we gave to them is useful
for their learning process.
Resources (What We Need to Get the Job Done, such as Supplies)
We will need enough funding for printing the books/pamphlets.
We will need transportation to go from school to school.
We will need a laptop/computer and editing software to research
information and design the book.

This letter is written to provide the information needed for CAS Activity.

CAS: Action Research

Gathering information about a community need
What does the community need? As the scope of your service should
relates to the national issues, you need to think about a service project
which relates to it. As a group, you might agree to explore one of the
following topics: poverty, hunger, bullying, or environmental concern. Or
you might want to help the surrounding schools which have no decent
teaching-learning facilities.

Finding out about...

Media
What media (newspapers, TV and radio station, website, etc.) in the
community might have helpful information? List ways you can work with
different media to learn about the issues and needs in the chosen
community.
Since the target audience will be 5 and 6 graders, we decided that it
will be something that is simple but still useful for their learning
process.
One media that would be useful would be magazines about schools.
Another media would be websites regarding the topics offered in a
school so that we may have an idea of what the are learning about.
Interviews
Think of a person who is knowledgeable about this topic in your area,
perhaps someone at school, in a local organization, or government
office. Write four questions you would ask this person in an interview.
The interviewee (name and position/occupation)
Ruth Maureen (Works in a School)
The School (SDN 3 Babakan Madang)
Questions:
1. What are the subjects that is most important in a school?
2. What are the subjects that children struggle with?
3. Why do you think so and what are the core topics offered in those
subjects?
4. How do you think should we introduce the pamphlet/book to that
particular school?

Essential Purpose or Questions

Service Idea

Give children of a particular school an informational

pamphlet/booklet to help them in their learning

We will also make the pamphlet/book look interesting
by putting in picture/designs and also use an
appealing font and style.

Action

We will be designing a pamphlet/book based on

research and also will be introducing it to the school
that we will be helping.

Reflection
Method

We will be visiting the school and survey the students

if the pamphlet/book we give helped them in their
learning process and if they learned something from
reading it.

Demonstration

We will be taking photos/videos of our activity in the

school, which is explaining what the book is about to
the students.
