Projects
Projects will be graded based on criteria (such as elements and principles used,
neatness/craftsmanship, specific skills demonstrated, aesthetics, originality, use of class time)
Students will complete self evaluation rubrics after each project. They will lose 5 points off the
project if it is not filled out correctly and will not be accepted without a rubric.
Late work will be accepted for a week after a specific project due date for 10% off
(approximately a letter grade off) and for 50% until the closest quarter grade is due. This does

not apply to the last project. It is due on the final day, and not accepted after or during finals
week. Points will be deducted for any unexcused absences from project work habits.
If excused absent on a due date for long projects, it will be due the day you return. If due
to a lengthy excused absence make arrangements with me one on one.
If you are gone on a sports event/pre-planned absence hand in assignments before or
grade will be affected.
Attendance and participation in a studio class are crucial. Come ready to work with a good
attitude. This is minimal open studio time to make up work due to me being part-time.
You must seek me out to make arrangements ahead of time. All unexcused absences result in
loss of opportunity to hand in missed work when you return.
Tardy Policy (4 tardies are a detention and the 5th tardy is an office referral)
Skips (all unexcused absences will receive an office referral and consequence)
DO NOT ASK TO LEAVE CLASS EXCEPT FOR AN EMERGENCY. THREE
BATHROOM/LOCKER OUTS PER SEMESTER ON MY PLANNER OF LESS.
BehaviorI expect your best behavior.
LEARNING CAN BEST TAKE PLACE WHEN EVERYONE TRIES AND COOPERATES.
SHOW RESPECT TO ALL.
ATTITUDE AND EFFORT MATTER A GREAT DEAL! GOOD ONES GO FAR!
