Successful completion of this course, the student will be able to :
1. Describe various age estimation methods from dental and oral tissues.
2. Understand bite-mark analysis and recommend for personal identification method.
3. Propose recommendation to age estimation.
4. Formulate the strategies for gender identification from dental and oral tissues.

Initiation
1. This is first lecture of the forensic dentistry lecture series. The major goal of this lecture is to demonstrate scope of dentistry in forensic investigation.
2. The lesson will introduce various age estimation methods and will set the stage for exploring the different age estimation methods depending on the case
situation.
Procedures
1. Lecture series: Two, one hour lecture sessions will be presented using MS PowerPoint presentation and subsequent end-class discussion

1. Multimedia presentation using MS PowerPoint, audio-visual casting from reliable educational web page.
2. The lecture series will be followed by subsequent Our VLE forum page.

Follow Up Work
1. The students will be instructed to access compulsory OurVLE forum page to engage them in continuous dialogue on the lesson content. This continuous
engagement is employed to brought forward will instigate the thought process through peer discussion.
