PROPOSED RESOLUTION NO. 2016-58 earnestly requesting the Department

of Transportation and Communications (DOTC), the Civil Aviation Authority of the
Philippines (CAAP) and the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), as the case maybe, to
allocate funds for the acquisition and installation of health apparatus that can
detect persons infected with contagious diseases like SARS, MERS-COV, Ebola and
the likes, at the Laguindingan Airport and the Macabalan Wharf.

AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING FURTHER THE DEADLINE FOR THE FILING OF BUSINESS
LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FROM JANUARY 31, 2016 PER ORDINANCE NO. 13029-2016 TO
MARCH 31, 2016, AND FOR THIS PURPOSE NO SURCHARGES AND PENALTIES SHALL BE
COLLECTED FROM THE TAXPAYERS WHO WILL BE AVAILING HEREOF
Whereas, the issues raised by the coalition of Chamber of Commerce with respect to payment of business
taxes and fees have yet to be resolve, which include the collection of Environment Fee, Fire Safe Inspection Fee
and Garbage Fee and the full implementation of the 2015 Cagayan de Oro Revenue Code and status of payments
made under protest last year that are not in accordance with the 2015 Revenue Code, among others;
Whereas, during the meeting of the Committee on Finance and Appropriation, it was also found out that
there is a need to recompute the Taxdue Worksheet (tax billing) issued by the City Treasurers Office due to
incorrect computation of some of the fees imposed and to harmonize with the provisions of the citys Revenue
Code;
Whereas, it is only cogent to extend further the deadline for the filing of Business License Renewal
Application;
Now, Therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council (Sangguniang Panlungsod) of the City of Cagayan de Oro in session
assembled that:
SECTION 1. - The deadline for the filing of Business License Renewal Application is hereby extended
further from January 31, 2016 per Ordinance No. 13029-2016 to March 31, 2016.
SECTION 2. - For this purpose, no surcharges and penalties shall be collected by the City Treasurer from
the taxpayers who will be filing their business license renewal application within the said period.
SECTION 3. - This Ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
